Lady Gaga brought her traveling circus of a tour known as The Monsters Ball to the Honda Center in Anaheim last night. The tour which has been ongoing for the past couple of years is growing in popularity.

When Kanye West had to cancel his tour last year in which Lady Gaga was schedule to be the opening act for, it forced Gaga to launch a solo tour. The Monsters Ball started off with smaller theater shows and then grew to the mammoth arena killer that it is now. Gaga played three near capacity if not sold out nights in Southern California, first stopping in Los Angeles, then traveling down to San Diego, and returning to Anaheim.

While her songs are catchy, they are nothing spectacular – however her live performance is a completely different story. Pulling out all the stops the Live show is nothing less than spectacular. The only down fall to the show I could cast, would be her over abundance of using the F word throughout. While I wouldn’t consider a Gaga show to be family friendly, there were quite a few just barely teenagers streaming into the venue with the mom’s.

The setlist was nothing surprising, as a show as choreographed as this one,  it has remained consistently the same from venue to venue.

SETLIST: Dance in the Dark | Glitter and Grease | Just Dance | Beautiful, Dirty, Rich | The Fame | LoveGame | Boys Boys Boys | Money Honey | Telephone | Born This Way (Piano) | You and I (Piano) | Monster | Teeth | Alejandro |Poker Face | Paparazzi ENCORE: Bad Romance |Born This Way

Opening the show was alternative band the Scissor Sisters. According to the band unless you are Gay or British you probably have never heard of them before. Being neither of the aforementioned, I definitely was in for a surprise. Dual vocalists Jake Shears and Ana Matronic put on an energy packed set that was definitely entertaining. Not sure about the prerequisite for having to have heard of them, but you might want to check them out – they were pretty entertaining.
