Enuff Z’Nuff has been out touring for the last several weeks with Faster Pussycat and are now doing their own headline run. The band played a KILLER show on Saturday night August 7 at Orange County’s best intimate venue, The Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa to an enthusiastic crowd of die-hards who were without a doubt beyond stoked to be out at a live show.

Vocalist/bass player Chip Z’nuff along with guitarists Tory Stoffregen and Tony Fennell along with drummer Dan Hill played 75 minutes of Enuff Z’ Nuff classics, a few newer tunes and a couple of cover songs. This band is one of the few bands from the late 80’s era that still has the integrity of the original music and delivers a first class show both vocally and musically every night.

Chip Z’ Nuff vocals are spot on and his dry humor in between songs is entertaining equaling a great front man – the dude is also not too shabby on bass. The guitarist talent is deep in this band – long time lead guitarist Tory Stoffregen blazes his solos and is complimented by the charismatic Tony Fennell who has recently returned to the band. This duo has great stage presence and is backed by the hard-hitting drumming of Dan Hill. This guy has a smile on his face from start to finish as he looks like he is having so much fun behind the kit (and he played on this night with a broken left ankle/foot but was still smiling all night). The band just looks like they are having a blast onstage and that only enhances the live experience.

Chip Z’ Nuff stepped down into the crowd and played/sang “In the Groove” amongst the fans as some of the ladies in the audience gave him an up close and personal dance. They played a cover of the Beatles “Magical Mystery Tour” and they threw in a few extended musical jams that’s just rocked. This band has a solid catalog and of course ended the night with their two biggest hits that put them on the map – “Fly High Michelle” and “New Thing”.
