Legendary rock and roll guitarist Lindsey Buckingham brought his recent solo concert tour to The Magnolia in El Cajon California on Friday December 3rd. The famed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former Fleetwood Mac guitarist has recently released a self-titled solo album on Rhino Records, his first solo release in ten years. 

Buckingham and his incredible backing band played through several songs off this new album including “I Don’t Mind,” “On the Wrong Side,” “Scream,” and “Swan Song.” These new songs are all unique rockers, with Buckingham’s fingerpicking guitar work and solo style incorporated throughout several genre crossing compositions.

To the delight of many fans in attendance there were six Fleetwood Mac songs also sprinkled towards the end of the show “Never Going Back Again,” “Big Love,” “Second Hand News,” “Tusk,” “I’m So Afraid,” and a show closing “Go Your Own Way” which were are all fantastic renditions of those classic hits. 

Lindsey Buckingham is an incredibly talented guitar player and performer on acoustic or electric instruments. He showed that throughout this evening of live music at the Magnolia, seemingly content for the moment to be going his own way.
