Lindsey Stirling kicked off her annual Christmas program with a stunning show in Memphis last Friday. In it’s now fourth year, the tour is gaining momentum as one of the must do’s events, much like Trans Siberian Orchestra, that everyone must do for the Christmas Season.

As is customary with a typical Stirling tour, each year the shows become more and more extravagant, and the Christmas tour is no exception. This year features Stirling and dancers Taylor Gagliano and Kailyn Rogers performing a new lineup of arial stunts during several of the numbers.

Another customary feature of a Stirling tour, is when she highlights her backing band. This tour she brings both Drew Steen (Drums, Percussion) and Ryan Riveros (Keys, Guitar) front and center for a segment featuring toy instruments. Stirling joins them by playing a 1/16 scale mini violin. The one feature sadly missing this year was an appearance from Stirling’s cute pup Luna Latte, who usually gets a cameo spot on the show in past tours.

The Christmas program also is one of the rare times we get to hear the angelic voice of Stirling as she lays down the violin and sings on a couple of tracks, with a very stellar performance of “Santa Baby”.

Lindsey Stirling’s 2021 Christmas Program runs through December 23, and has 15 shows left. Be sure to try and catch Lindsey on one of the future dates.
