While Chris Daughtry may have not been a winner on American Idol, he is no doubt one of the most successful musicians to emerge from that franchise. In 2022 Daughtry is out supporting his sixth studio album, 2021’s Dearly Beloved with a tour of the same name. Daughtry along with tour openers Tremonti made a stop at The Novo in Los Angeles on Monday March 21.

There was high anticipation at The Novo as Daughtry hit the stage and right into three rockers off the new album “Desperation”, “World On Fire” and “Changes Are Coming”. The band with Daughtry on vocals/guitars also includes Josh Steeley on guitars, Brian Craddock on rhythm guitar, Elvio Fernandes on keyboards, Brandon Maclin on drums and Patrick Dahlheimer on bass was super tight and very energetic on this night.

Daughtry has a mesmerizing voice and the man knows how to write a hard rocker, a beautiful ballad and everything in-between. The show had a great, very rock n roll lighting setup and vibe the entire night. There was a drum solo, guitar solo and Daughtry shined alone onstage playing the songs “Home and “Evil” and cell phones lit up the venue during “It’s Not Over”. The band also played a killer cover of Alice In Chains “Man in the Box” with Mark Tremonti coming onstage to play lead guitar.

Daughtry hits the road again in May for another run in the USA. Go grab a ticket to see Daughtry for a night to remember.
