Trentemøller, the solo project of Danish indie/electronic music composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Anders Trentemøller made a stop at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday night September 21 and played a masterful set of moody and cinematic electronic indie synth rock.
For 75 minutes, Trentemøller and his backing band had the Fonda Theatre in a trance with the hypnotic beats and soothing vocals. The stage lighting and colorful backdrop enhanced the emotion the audible music had set, and the band delivered with extreme precision making the live experience much more in line with an out of body experience than listening to the music on record.
Trentemøller played several songs off his February 2022 release Memoria to start the night and mixed in various other compositions, but the highlight was certainly the last song of the night, the up-tempo “Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!”. The Fonda Theatre undeniably just witnessed the most epic show of 2022 on their stage. Trentemøller has a handful of shows left on this North America run – be sure to catch them if you can – www.trentemoller.com/shows.
